There are three kinds of requirements that must be met in order to obtain a bachelor's degree:

Entry Level Writing Requirement
American History and Institutions
180 unit minimum and 216 unit maximum
2.0 grade point average
Residency Requirement
- College Breadth Requirements (or general education requirements)
- Major Requirements (a series of lower and upper division courses in a field of study)
All students in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, whether they have declared their major or are exploring their major choice options, must meet the College of Humanities breadth requirements.
